I cannot believe that I am writing the last post about Antalya. There is so much more that I want to write about this city. Istanbul overshadows the beauty of this place.
Anyway, one of the places that was on my list was Selale Restaurant. It’s a restaurant perched upon a flowing lake. You are sitting on sort of a daybed surrounded by rushing water and ducks swimming in it.
I read about this on Shehzeen’s blog, The Desi Wonder Woman.
The drive to the restaurant was very long. We went there after an afternoon spent in Goynuk Canyon ziplining and just exploring.
I had one of the most fun experiences there. We ordered a late lunch. I got fish while the husband got some sort of Chicken BBQ. Honestly, our food sucked. No kidding, I didn’t even eat half of it.
But the surroundings more than made up for it. Both us didn’t care about the food because the place was just breath taking. There were a lot of ducks there and we were throwing bread to them. Then we started throwing pieces of salad. And they were competitive. Like viciously competitive ! The other half threw them a huge piece of Tomato, the duck who caught it couldn’t swallow it so the others were trying to snatch it from it but the duck ran like her life depended on it. It was hilarious.
It was a perfect ending to our stay in Antalya. Now I will let the pictures speak for themselves. 🙂
I need this kind of a restaurant in my backyard. 😛
